dark-chocolate-super-food-lgIn the last blog, we talked about some of the specific things that dark chocolate can do for you; now let’s move onto some of the other benefits that this specific chocolate can do for you and what you can expect.  One thing that I love about dark chocolate is that it makes me incredibly happy – that is because of the compound epicatechin, which actually increases the flow of blood to your brain.

What that does is that it will also help your memory and focus, which is something that a lot of people need a lot of help with right around 3:00pm if they have been working since the early morning.

Dark chocolate is by far the better option whenever you are looking for a nice and healthy snack!

LicoriceWhen I think of licorice, the first thing that I think about it actually the red licorice candy; however, there is another type of licorice out there, licorice root.  I have to say that it can truly help with your body overall, especially if you have a lot of digestive problems.

Licorice root is something that has been around for quite some time and whether you use it in tea or you add it into your diet somehow, if you have a lot of stomach problems, it can really help you.

bilberryI have to say that before this blog, I had no idea that bilberries were different than blueberries.  I mean, if the picture is any indication, bilberries definitely look just like blueberries but they are a little bit different.  These particular berries are actually fantastic for your body – especially your circulatory system, your eyes and certainly your brain and heart.
